The “Joy to Learn” project focused on joyful or happy situations children experience at school in order to find out about relevant aspects of well-being and positive emotions. The objective of the study is to identify the factors which make children evaluate learning situations as enjoyable, motivating and effective. The scientific objective of the project was to examine the children´s learning experience and process at school, particularly on joyful moments or situations in school. In this article, we present the research design, the methodology and the results of an international qualitative study with children in Bulgaria and Germany. ER -
