As the studies carried out in this field were examined, clear descriptions about the concepts couldn’t be reached. This study aims at determining the ideas of students studying at universities and high schools about the concept of “lifelong learning” via metaphors. This study has been designed as a phenomenological study. The sample of the study is composed of the students of Maltepe University and Çorum Anatolian Teacher Training High School. Research data were gathered via semi-structured interview questions. As a result of the research, metaphors about the concept of lifelong learning such as health, time, mother, family, immortality, love, computer, ant, flower, rain, dish, salt, breath, life, education, book, etc. were found ER -
