Editor's Message

Abstract

International Journal of Curriculum and Instructional Studies (IJOCIS) has been appearing in the scientific world with the fifth issue. Our journal is published twice annually both in online and printed format, and is indexed in Asos (Akademia Social Sciences Index) and Arastirmax since its first issue was released.

 

The current issue consists of six articles peer-reviewed for the publication. All the papers are invaluable contributions of the following authors to the literature and our journal. Research assistant Dilek İLHAN BEYAZTAŞ, Suzan Beyza KAPTI and Prof.Dr.Selahattin GELBAL "Students' Opinions on High School and Private Preparation Course Teachers' Behaviors during Teaching-Learning Processes", Assist.Prof.Dr.Nevriye YAZÇAYIR, Prof.Dr. Kıymet SELVİ and Prof.Dr. Özcan DEMİREL "Assessment of the General Secondary Education Curricula in Turkey", Assist.Prof.Dr. Özlem KAF HASIRCI and Assoc.Prof.Dr. Mediha SARI "An Analysis of Instructors and Teacher Candidates' Views on Community Service Practices Course in the Context of Democratic Citizenship Education", Assist.Prof.Dr. Mine GÖZÜBÜYÜK TAMER "National Qualifications Framework for Lifelong Learning: The Cases of Europe and Turkey", Assist.Prof.Dr.Gülgün BANGİR ALPAN and Gülhan DURDUBAŞOGLU "The Views of Participants about Painting Course at Centers for Social Solidarity", Aydın BULUT and Assoc.Prof.Dr.Neşe TERTEMİZ "Examing Opinions of Teachers Regarding Usage of Primary School Mathematics Textbooks in Terms of Some Variables". The above mentioned papers were subjected for peer review completed.

 

International Journal of Curriculum and Instructional Studies (IJOCIS) is not only for the member of TACI, but also all researchers who are interested in teaching methodology of various subject-matter fields. The overall goal of the journal is to carry on our mission to publish and expose extinguished papers of respectable researchers and young colleagues in the field of curriculum and instruction to our audience. We would like to thank the reviewers of this issue for their comments and proposals on each article and also our special thanks go to authors who support our journal with their original and scientific work.

 

You are cordially invited to submit manuscripts to be presented at the "3rd. National Congress on Curriculum and Instruction" that will take place at Gaziantep University in Gaziantep, in 7-9 May, 2014 and for peer-review to be considered for publication in our journal (IJOCIS).
